LET’S GO !
The begging of the Training course – European Union without borders in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria.
“European Union – opportunities without borders”
stands as an enlightening training course designed to guide and empower youth workers, shedding light on the abundant opportunities that the European Union (EU) unfurls before them. Within the intricate tapestry of a dynamically evolving global landscape, the EU emerges as a bastion of collaboration, innovation, and growth. Anchored in a myriad of meticulously designed programs, the EU
beckons youth workers to embark on a transformative journey of development and cooperation.
Beggining of project
At the beggining of the course we set ourselves goals what we want to achieve during our time there.
Besides general aim of the project, people set goals like, overcome fear fo public speaking, shyness,
make new friends, improve their communication or discover new cultures. In final days we reviewed
and discused how well we have achieved them. It was very elated experience.
And what did we do in the project?
Every day we started with an energizer, to help us to wake us up and get the blood flowing, so we would be cognizant. We learnt through various activities, that involved brain storming, past personal experience of individuals, also guidance of project facilitator, how to start an NGO (Non governmental organization). What are the requests, who can do it, and lucky for us tips from people that already have working NGOs. How to set up an project.
Main objective
The main objective was to enlighten, equip, and empower youth workers with insights into the constellation of EU opportunities, cultivating a generation of informed, motivated individuals who harness these opportunities to drive meaningful change in their communities.
How we worked?
We worked in small groups to create a presentation that we afterwards presented to all of us. The outcomes were a handbooks that had vital information about the whole application process, necessities, requirements to complete your applications and make them legally correct. Throughout our activities we used our digital skills, such as video making, script writing in creating visual story that represented and taught us European principles that we built society upon, values that we follow.
Each group chosen a team leader as a director that decided how the final turned out. At the end we communally relieved all the films that created and followed up with discussion. It was a great and valuable session.
This experience that we had was impactful. Taught us lessons about cultural, customs, we learnt to better navigate communication strategies, public speaking and teamworking, insights how to create working NGOs, help us understand European values and so much more. It was for sure a lifechanging experience.
We had a lot of fun and we made new friendships with great people!
