DIGI-YOU: Empowering Youth Work for the Digital Age in Ružomberok
Can youth work truly keep up with the rapid pace of the digital world? This November, in Ružomberok, 20 youth workers from across Europe are coming together to ensure the answer is “Yes.“
We are thrilled to announce the launch of “DIGI-YOU – DIGItal empowerment for YOUth workers” (Project number: 2024-3-SK02-KA153-YOU-000267443), our latest Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers designed to address a critical gap in our sector: the need for digital literacy and the integration of emerging technologies like AI and blockchain in youth work.
Who & Where
This November, IKReON will welcome 20 dedicated youth workers, NGO leaders, and facilitators to a retreat at Vila Efekt near Ružomberok city centre. For 5 intensive working days, participants from Slovakia, Romania, Italy, France, Greece, and Estonia will gather to transform their digital capabilities and learn how to better engage the modern, digitally-native youth.

The Training Course runs 11–15 November 2025 (10–16 November 2026 are the travel days).
What is going to happen?
Five action-packed days—Building Foundations in Digital Youth Work; Creative Applications of Digital Tools; Integrating Emerging Technologies; Exploring Blockchain and Secure Data Management; and GenAI for Strategic Planning—addressing the challenge faced by youth organizations today: staying relevant, secure, and engaging in a digital ecosystem.
What we aim for
DIGI-YOU aims to empower youth workers with the “hard skills” of the digital era—from mastering gamification and digital storytelling to utilizing data analytics and Generative AI for strategic planning. By connecting professionals from diverse backgrounds, we are building a network capable of closing the digital divide, modernizing NGO operations, and creating innovative, tech-driven opportunities for marginalized youth across Europe.
