Empowering Adults: Digital Safety and Fraud Prevention in the Age of Technology
We help adults aged 45 and over stay safe online. Together we build the skills and confidence to spot fraud, protect personal data, and take part in digital life.
digiSAFE is a two-year Erasmus+ small-scale partnership of three organisations from three countries. We create practical, non-formal learning that helps adults 45+ understand digital risks, prevent online fraud, and use today’s technology — including AI tools — safely and with confidence.

About the Project
As daily life moves online, many adults over 45 are left behind. Digital skills often decline with age, and the gap is wider for women. This makes older adults more open to scams, phishing and financial fraud, and can lead to isolation. New AI tools add fresh risks, from fake messages to convincing scams.
digiSAFE answers this with accessible, hands-on learning built around what adults 45+ really need. Partners study the digital risks in each country, co-create a tailored curriculum, test it with learners, and turn it into a free Digital Fraud Prevention Toolkit. The aim is simple: real skills to spot fraud, protect personal data, and take part online with confidence.
General Objective
digiSAFE’s main aim is to close the digital divide and improve digital safety for adults aged 45 and over — giving them the skills, tools and confidence to use the online world safely, prevent fraud, and take an active part in digital society.
Specific Objectives
Raise Awareness of Digital Fraud
Help adults 45+ recognise online fraud, phishing and AI-driven scams, so they can spot the warning signs early.
Co-Create a Curriculum
Build a non-formal education curriculum that gives educators clear, practical ways to teach digital safety to adults over 45.
Test It in an International Pilot
Bring adults 45+ and trainers together in Slovakia to test the curriculum and improve it through interactive, hands-on learning.
Build an Open Toolkit
Turn the learning into a free Digital Fraud Prevention Toolkit, with short videos, simple theory and ready-to-run workshops.
Hold a digiSAFE Week
Run local awareness workshops in each partner country, bringing digital-safety training to adults 45+ where they live.
Promote Active Digital Citizenship
Encourage adults 45+ to take part in digital life with confidence, care and independence.
How the Project Works
Project management and quality assurance run throughout, led by the coordinator A.I.S.E.C.-APS. Two transnational meetings frame the project: a kick-off in Viterbo (Italy) and a final evaluation meeting in Valencia (Spain).

NFE Curriculum
A non-formal education curriculum that helps adults 45+ build digital skills and recognise online fraud — ready for educators to use.
Digital Fraud Prevention Toolkit
A free, downloadable toolkit with key topics, simple theory and practical workshops, in English, Italian, Spanish and Slovak.
Ten Short Videos
Ten two-minute videos on key digital-safety topics, made in Spanish, Italian and Slovak with English subtitles.
Self-Assessment Tool
A short questionnaire that helps adults 45+ check their risk level and find the right learning for them.

The Consortium
Three organisations from three countries bring together expertise in adult education, digital learning, non-formal methodology and dissemination.
Project Coordinator — A.I.S.E.C.-APS (Italy)
Based in Viterbo, the Associazione Italiana Socio-Educatori per la Cooperazione (A.I.S.E.C.-APS) coordinates digiSAFE and leads the Digital Fraud Prevention Toolkit and dissemination. It brings long experience in adult education, awareness campaigns and sharing project results with wide audiences.
Asociación UNO (Spain)
Based in Valencia, Asociación UNO leads the needs assessment and curriculum co-creation. It specialises in project management, non-formal education, social inclusion and lifelong learning, with experience in many Erasmus+ projects.
IKReON (Slovakia)
Based in Ružomberok, IKReON hosts the International Pilot, co-creates the curriculum, and coordinates the project website. It contributes expertise in digital education for adults, non-formal learning, project management and dissemination.
IKReON’s Role in digiSAFE
As host of the International Pilot, IKReON welcomes adults 45+ and trainers from across the partnership to Ružomberok to test and improve the curriculum. We lead the project in Slovakia — co-creating the learning, running local workshops and the Slovak digiSAFE Week — and we coordinate the project website. We also produce the Slovak toolkit content and videos, and share digiSAFE’s work and results across our networks. Throughout, we bring our experience in digital education, non-formal learning and entrepreneurship to the partnership.
