The FORMIDABLE project aims to empower young individuals aged 18-25 by enhancing their self-esteem and self-expression through art and performance.
It responds to challenges amplified by the pandemic, using creativity to bridge the gap between local traditions and international understanding to foster a robust European identity.

Slovak Coordinator – IKReON

As the coordinating organization, IKReON is a Slovak non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals through non-formal education within the Erasmus+ framework and beyond. Based in Ružomberok, IKReON specializes in designing and implementing international projects focused on key areas such as creativity, digital skills, and active citizenship. With a strong local network and expertise in project management, IKReON aims to bridge local needs with international opportunities, fostering intercultural dialogue and providing high-quality learning experiences for both youth and adults.

Associazione Culturale Pro.m.e.t.eu.s

Pro.m.e.t.eu.s is an Italian cultural association focused on promoting education, training, and European mobility. They work with people of all ages to enhance skills, foster intercultural understanding, and encourage active participation in society through the design and implementation of local and international projects, particularly within the Erasmus+ framework.

Based in Poland, Fundacja i2 (Innovation & Integration Foundation) is dedicated to fostering innovation and social integration through education. Bright Horizons

Bright Horizons is a Bulgarian non-profit organization committed to providing non-formal educational opportunities for young people. Their work centers on personal and professional development, aiming to broaden the horizons of participants through international projects, workshops, and cultural exchanges that promote tolerance, leadership, and community engagement.

F.Y.C.A.

As a leading youth organization in Armenia, FYCA works to unite and empower youth clubs across the country. Their mission is to promote active citizenship, volunteering, and non-formal education, providing young Armenians with the skills and opportunities to contribute to their communities and engage in international dialogue and cooperation.

Be Up

Be Up is an Austrian organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of young people and adults. They specialize in creating non-formal learning experiences, training courses, and coaching sessions focused on enhancing soft skills, promoting mental well-being, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential in their personal and professional lives.

Activities overview

The first day focuses on building interpersonal connections. Activities include introductory games, sharing music to create a common bond, and reflective discussions to establish a safe and open environment for the week.
Participants explore the power of music and dance as forms of storytelling. This day encourages artistic collaboration and cultural appreciation through shared rhythms and movements, fostering a deeper group connection.
This day integrates environmental awareness with creativity. Activities include sound recording sessions in nature, emphasizing sustainability and our connection to the environment through the medium of sound art.
Through various art forms, participants address important societal themes and global issues. This day challenges everyone to reflect on complex topics creatively, promoting critical thinking and a broader European perspective.
A day dedicated to deep self-discovery. Activities include role-playing scenarios and strength-exploration exercises, which are designed to enhance self-awareness, confidence, and personal resilience.
Participants are given the space to express their emotions artistically, using the skills and techniques developed throughout the week. The day culminates in a self-evaluation session for the Youthpass certificate.
The final day is a celebration of the participants’ work and growth. It includes a showcase where the creative works are presented to the group and the local community, demonstrating the project’s impact and fostering a sense of accomplishment.

Project outputs

A key outcome of this project is the creation of the toolkit “FORMIDABLE – Tricks to Tackle Social Divide,” a compendium of the methodologies and activities carried out during the project.
