FORMIDABLE: Youth, Art, and European Connection in Ružomberok
IKReON announces “FORMIDABLE – FOsteRing self-esteeM and self-expressIon, Discovering common EuropeAn roots By performing arts Led by youngstErs” (Project number: 2024-1-SK02-KA152-YOU-000216164), an Erasmus+ youth exchange focused on strengthening self-esteem and self-expression through art and performance, while connecting local traditions with a wider European outlook. The initiative responds to post-pandemic needs by offering inclusive, non-formal learning where creativity, well-being, and community belong together.
Who & Where
The project brings 32 participants (18–25) from six countries—Slovakia, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Armenia, and Austria—to Ružomberok, Slovakia. Partner organisations: IKReON (SK), Associazione Culturale Pro.m.e.t.eu.s (IT), Fundacja i2 (PL), Bright Horizons (BG), FYCA (AM) and Be Up (AT).
Timeline
- A Preparatory Visit in Ružomberok is scheduled for 12–13 May 2025 (travel 11–14 May).
- The Youth Exchange runs 13–19 July 2025 (travel 12–20 July).
What is going to happen?
Seven themed days—Unfolding Connections; Rhythmic Narratives; Nature’s Symphony; Multicultural Creative Insights; Exploring Your Inner Self; Emotional Canvas; Celebratory Showcase—combine workshops, movement, music, reflection and a final community sharing. Activities are designed to build teamwork, communication, critical thinking and creative confidence.
