MYTHIC in Ružomberok — Mission Accomplished
Six days, eight countries, 22 youth workers, and one shared mission: to better equip the people who empower youth.
We have just concluded the MYTHIC training course, an intensive Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project hosted by IKReON in Ružomberok.
By the end of the week, participants didn’t just leave with new techniques — they left with a shared toolkit, a wider network, and the confidence to bring inclusive innovation, critical thinking, and civic engagement back to the young people they work with.

Day 1: Foundations of Inclusive Entrepreneurship
We opened by mapping the realities young people face and exploring the E-Myth Triad — the Entrepreneur, Manager, and Technician roles inside every project. Using systems thinking, participants learned to turn everyday tasks into simple, repeatable activities, building a shared language for inclusive, entrepreneurial youth work.
Day 2: Turn-Key Mindsets
Teams built clear, “turn-key” systems for their activities and put them to the test. With the Eco-Canvas, they added inclusion and sustainability checkpoints to every idea, then stress-tested one another’s plans for clarity — making sure each activity could be picked up and run by any youth worker.
Day 3: Think, Check, Act
The focus turned to media literacy. The Spot the Fake toolbox sharpened practical fact-checking skills, while a GenAI Ethics fishbowl gave participants space to debate the risks and benefits of AI — and how to discuss them honestly with young people.
Day 4: GenAI & Digital-Creativity Sprint
A hands-on sprint put entry-level GenAI tools to work for storytelling and communication. Alongside the creativity, a Code of Conduct clinic grounded everything in responsible, ethical use — so participants could bring these tools to their communities with confidence and care.
Day 5: Local-Lab Design & Impact Planning
Participants designed their own local micro-project labs, swapping resources and methods across countries. Using SMART indicators, each team planned how it would measure real impact back home — turning a week of ideas into concrete plans for action.
Day 6: Showcase & Closing
The week closed with a public showcase, where teams shared their work with the local community in short, three-minute pitches. A closing ceremony — with certificates and the press — celebrated what the group had built together and sent everyone home as a MYTHIC facilitator.
The MYTHIC Toolkit
The week’s biggest takeaway is a shared resource: the MYTHIC Toolkit, a set of six ready-to-use, tested activities — including the Eco-Canvas and the Spot-the-Fake tools — designed to work even in low-resource settings. The partnership is now finalising the toolkit for free release under a Creative Commons licence, shared through SALTO-YOUTH and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform so any youth worker can use it. Participants also validated their competences with Youthpass and earned a MYTHIC Facilitator Open Badge.
What’s Next?
- Participants run local activities and micro-projects with young people in their own communities.
- The MYTHIC Toolkit is finalised and published for free under a Creative Commons licence.
- Results are shared through SALTO-YOUTH and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.
