IKReON & the EU Pact for Skills

IKReON has joined the EU Pact for Skills — committing to upskilling and reskilling people across our region. Here’s what the Pact is, what we’ve pledged, and how to get involved with us.

What is the Pact for Skills?

The Pact for Skills is the European Commission’s main engagement model for upskilling and reskilling, launched in 2020 as the first flagship action of the European Skills Agenda. It brings together companies, education and training providers, public authorities and social partners, who sign a shared Charter and commit to concrete action — so people of working age can thrive through the green and digital transitions.

The Charter we signed

Lifelong learning for all

Fostering a culture where learning continues at every age and stage.

Strong partnerships

Building lasting partnerships between members and stakeholders.

Anticipating skills needs

Monitoring skills supply and demand to act on real labour-market needs.

Equality & inclusion

Working against discrimination and for gender equality and equal opportunities.

IKReON’s commitment

As a member of the EU Pact for Skills, IKReON has signed the Charter and made three concrete commitments to upskill and reskill adults and young professionals. They span two of the Charter’s principles — promoting lifelong learning and building strong skills partnerships — and each is tracked against a yearly target.

Hands-on “bite-workshops”

We run practical “bite-workshops” that take adults from any background deeper into a specific topic they struggle with — building digital, ICT and everyday skills. Target: around 10 a year.

Joining skills networks

We’re committing to join existing skills networks so we can upskill and reskill adults more effectively — a more structured, informed approach and shared best practice. Target: 3 new connections a year.

Entrepreneurship & career growth

Our entrepreneurship programmes help adults build hard and soft skills, strengthen their profiles and boost their CVs — widening their opportunities to grow. Target: around 10 a year.

What membership gives us
