What Data We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you email us, call us, or apply to take part in one of our programmes, we collect the information you choose to share — such as your name, your contact details, and the content of your message or application.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tools may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This helps us keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

We use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the website working. Optional cookies, such as those used for analytics, are only set with your consent. You can review or change your choices at any time using the cookie settings on our website.

Why We Use Your Data

We only process your personal data when we have a legal basis to do so under the GDPR:

  • To answer your enquiries and manage your participation in our programmes — to take steps at your request or to perform an agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To run, secure, and improve our website — based on your consent for optional cookies (Article 6(1)(a)) and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working well (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet our legal, accounting, and funding-reporting obligations — to comply with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as far as needed:

  • Our website hosting provider, webzdarma.cz, which stores the website and its data.
  • Google — for website analytics and search performance (Google Analytics and Search Console, through Site Kit) and for the map shown on our Contacts page (Google Maps). See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Social media platforms, if you choose to follow or contact us through them.

Some of these providers, such as Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above. In most cases we keep it for up to five years, in line with the reporting requirements for EU-funded projects, after which we delete or anonymise it — unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Children’s Privacy

We work with young people, and we care about their privacy. Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
