THINK DIGITAL: From Passive Scrolling to Critical Thinking
What happens when young people stop scrolling and start questioning? In July 2026, in Ružomberok, 31 young people and 6 group leaders from six countries are coming together to find out — and to learn how to spot misinformation, understand algorithms and act as responsible digital citizens.
We are proud to announce the launch of “THINK DIGITAL — Enhancing Critical Thinking Skills in the Digital Age” (Project number: 2025-1-SK02-KA152-YOU-000299515), our latest Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, created to help young people move from passive consumers of online content to critical, confident digital citizens.
Who & Where
In July 2026, IKReON will welcome 31 young people aged 20–27 and 6 group leaders from Slovakia, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Armenia to Ružomberok. At least half of the participants face fewer opportunities. For seven days, they will learn together, share experiences, and create their own digital awareness campaigns.
Timeline
- The project runs from December 2025 to September 2026 (10 months).
- The seven-day youth exchange takes place in Ružomberok on 16–22 July 2026.
What Is Going to Happen?
Seven themed days — Digital Footprints & Baseline; Misinformation & Bias Detection; Algorithms & Data Privacy; Ethics & Online Safety; Fact-Checking Lab; Campaign Design & Pitch; Final Showcase & Next Steps — tackle a challenge young people meet every day: how to tell fact from fiction online and use digital tools in a safe, ethical way.
What We Aim For
THINK DIGITAL helps young people decode digital influence, master fact-checking, and act as responsible digital citizens. Teams present their own awareness campaigns at a public event in Ružomberok and validate their learning through Youthpass. The project also produces “THINK DIGITAL – Guidelines to Critical Thinking in the Digital World”, a free toolkit for young people and youth workers.
